Date: ca 1920
This little stunner of vase embodies all those sweeping lines that Art Nouveau is so known for; this is 100% curve in ceramic form….swirly lips, swooping handle and shapely profile. It has been drip-glazed in hues of bright blue, browns, and oranges toward the top.
It was made by the Thulin Faiencerie (earthen ware company) in Belgium nearby the city of Mons. The company was active between 1887 and 1991.
Dimensions: 14 cm high, 15 cm wide at widest point
Condition: Perfect. Some mini needle point defects in the glaze (part of production process)
NOTE: Please bear in mind that colours/hues may vary somewhat; depiction depends on lighting conditions, background, your screen resolution settings, etc. I have provided a photo of a light background as well.
